Chances of Winning Grand Lotto

No one won again in the Grand Lotto yesterday, the jackpot reached more than P450 million pesos and may reach P500 million in the next draw on Wednesday, November 17.

What are your chances of winning the Grand Lottery? Since it is 6/55 draw meaning 6 numbers between 1 to 55, the chance of winning is 1 in 28,989,675. Even if you analyze previous draws it will not help in raising your chances, because each draw is just random.

Sometimes it is sad knowing some people believe the only way to get out of poverty is either winning the lotto, or joining game shows like Eat Bulaga, Pilipinas Win na Win or Willing Willie.

But someone will get lucky soon and I hope that he/she may share his/her blessings to others!

I am turning 31 on November 13:)

I have been working for 10 years (I feel old already), started as a Web Designer, then Web Developer, PHP Programmer, IT Instructor, Development Lead, Development Manager and IT Consultant (and also Wedding/Events/Sports/Travel Photographer on the side). For almost 2 months now, I have been working from home and is almost a full time dad to my 2 kids.

My life is different now, no more long commutes and being stuck in traffic, no more working on a fixed schedule and just work when I want to (which is usually late at night).

I had a wonderful 10 years in more than 7 companies, 4 years of which I was teaching in Asia Pacific College. I really learned a lot in those 10 years and made friends along the way.

I love being a teacher but I never did plan to be one, I was an accidental teacher! I applied for a PHP programmer position in APC in 2002, then just a week into work, an instructor for Web Development resigned and I was asked to try teaching for a while, I was really nervous at first since I was not used to talking to many people in my entire life, but since my first day of teaching, I knew this was where I was meant to be.

And now I am back teaching in Tutorial Sessions and Workshops related to WordPress (which is now my focus), PHP, SEO, Internet Marketing and other web technologies plus sharing my knowledge and experiences to others through my websites. I am also back in photography, shooting events, specially sports or musical events like concerts, gigs, etc. and also architecture and travel photography.

But now on my 31st birthday, I just want to thank God for all the blessing I have received and will continue to receive so that I will continue to share my blessings to others. My goal in life right now is to bless people and bless my relationships (specially my relationship with my wife and kids), through sharing my wealth, wisdom and love.

But at the end of the day, no matter what achievements I have received there is only one thing that will be important to me and that is to raise my kids, Mika and Daniel to be happy and loving persons.
